Train Up A Gentleman Golden Rules

Hebrews 13:17 - Obey your leaders and submit to them; for they are keeping watch over your souls, as men who will have to give account. Let them do this joyfully, and not sadly, for that would be of no advantage to you.

In order to insure a respectful and spirit-filled, as well as safe, Train Up a Gentleman Workshop, we abide by the following guidelines:
  • Each gentleman must be signed in before workshop by the child’s parent, guardian, or adult who has permission to do so.
  • Gentleman may not leave during the workshop without permission of an adult leader.
  • Gentlemen should respect one another and adult leaders by being obedient and courteous at all times.
  • Gentlemen should respect the meeting area, sanctuary, all facilities and all equipment by not running or playing in the building.
  • Gentlemen should not eat in the workshop area, unless specifically given permission to do so by an adult leader, and should never chew gum or eat during workshop.
  • Gentlemen should avoid name-calling or other disrespectful language.
  • Gentlemen should clean their area before leaving the workshop.
  • Gentlemen should not talk out of turn during worship.
Failure to obey the above guidelines will result in a request to not attend any future workshops.

Life Application

As a member of this program, all males are asked to exemplify the life of a true gentleman.

"One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts" (Psalm 145:4 KJV).

From these, and many other scriptures, we can see clearly that each generation is called to build on the foundation left by the previous generation. Therefore, all generations are in great need of each other to complete the work that God has called His corporate Body to fulfill.
