The Reedy River Missionary Baptist church family is the Church that cares and
shares Christ with others. Our commitment is that our lives will be so
lived in the community, homes and on our jobs, that others will see Christ in
us, who is the light of the world.
The Christian religion cannot be taught, it must be caught. We know
that we can teach the precepts and concepts of the Christian religion, but
people are influenced to accept Christ by the lives we live in the midst of our
fellowman.
The Church that cares and shares is the one that practices what it teaches,
and teaches what it practices. The Church that cares and shares is
committed to helping the locked out, locked in, the down trodden, the good and
the bad, the righteous and the unrighteous, and the saint and the sinner.
The Church that cares and shares, does not just talk about the problems in
the world, but does something about solving the problems in the world. The
Church that cares and shares does not just talk about what the world has come
to, but talk about who has come into the world.
The Church that cares and shares puts Christ in the center of its ministry
and mission.
I pray that our Church will continue to be the Church that cares and shares
for suffering, and falling humanity, and it will care and share if Christ is
foremost and uppermost in our lives. Let us say with the Apostle Paul,
"For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain."
