Rev. Antwion Yowe, Pastor
Reverend Antwion Yowe is a native of Cordele, GA and is
married to the lovely Benita Yevette Yowe. He is the father
of six (Devin, Jeffery, William, Nardica, Vascorey and
Christopher).
Pastor Antwion Yowe accepted the call to preach the gospel
in 1998 and was ordained later in the same year by Reverend
Joseph Howard, III and the Belahland Baptist Church family
in Cordele, GA. His initial role in ministry was Youth
Pastor at Beulahland Baptist Church and Assistant Pastor of
New Birth Baptist Church in Cordele, GA.
In December 2000, at the age of 24, Pastor Yowe accepted the
call to pastor Greater Friendship Baptist Church, Oakfield,
GA. Pastor Yowe was blessed to pastor Greater Friendship
until he was called by Reedy River Missionary Baptist
Church, Greenville, SC in 2010.
In 2001, he implemented Yowe Ministries to assist in the
shaping of leadership and educational opportunities of God’s
leaders and pastors. Pastor Yowe has a dynamic itinerant
preaching ministry that extends across the country. He has
been described as one of the most humble young preachers in
his area and is well-known and sought after for his
anointed, practical, relevant and sound proclamation of
God’s Word.
Pastor Yowe is known among his colleagues as friend and is
motivated by his love for people, preaching and ministry. He
solely believes that only the proclamation of God’s Word can
prick hearts, save souls and change the community. This is
seen by his mission for Yowe Ministries, “Surrender, Shape
and Serve”.
Pastor Yowe began his collegiate career at Albany State
University in Albany, GA in the Fall of 1996, where he was a
member of the Albany State University Golden Rams Baseball
team. Currently, Pastor Yowe holds a Masters of Christian
Education from Liberty University and is pursuing his
Doctorate Degree at United Theological Seminary in Dayton,
Ohio. Pastor Yowe has also secured training units in Anger
Management, Group and Family Counseling, Conflict
Management, Church Administration, and Youth Gang
Prevention.
Pastor Yowe was active in many community organizations in
GA; Habitat for Humanity, Crisp County Ministerial Alliance,
and the Crisp County Westside Leadership Team. He also
volunteered countless hours with the Crisp County Recreation
Department as a coach and mentor.
Of all the characteristics-traits demonstrated by Pastor
Yowe, none is more outstanding than his ability to explain
the truths in scripture and bring forth the reality of God’s
Word and how it should be applied to one’s daily life.
